Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes plans change. Below you will find our cancellation policy, designed to be clear and fair in the event you need to cancel your booking.
Cancellation by You (The Guest)
If you need to cancel your booking, the following cancellation fees will apply, calculated from the total rental sum:
- More than 56 days before the arrival date: The 25% deposit.
- Between 56 and 28 days before the arrival date: 60% of the total rental sum.
- Between 28 and 7 days before the arrival date: 90% of the total rental sum.
- Within 7 days of the arrival date or later: 100% of the total rental sum.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
Cancellation by Us (Villa Jan Thiel)
In the rare event that we must cancel your booking due to exceptional circumstances (such as fire, natural disaster, or the sale of the property), we will notify you immediately. We will make every effort to offer you a comparable or superior alternative accommodation. If this is not possible, or if you do not accept the alternative, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
We Strongly Recommend Travel Insurance
Unforeseen circumstances can always arise. To protect yourself from unexpected cancellation costs, we strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance.
